About The Hungarian Arts Club

Founded in 1958, the Hungarian Arts Club preserves and promotes Hungarian culture in the U.S. Through cultural events held in the metro Detroit area. The club has raised funds to award over $60,000 in scholarships to students of Hungarian descent, supporting their fine arts education across North America in fields like acting, music, and visual arts.

Each year, the club continues the tradition of introducing young women of Hungarian heritage to society at the White Rose Ball, held at Lovett Hall in historic Greenfield Village. The formal ball features traditional Hungarian court dances, ballroom dancing, live music, and serves as the venue for the club’s scholarship presentations, with award winners showcasing their art or performances.
